Terms of Service

These Terms are the agreement between you and SattvAI for using the app. They are written to be readable, not to trick you. By using SattvAI, you agree to them, so please take a moment to read them.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using SattvAI, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Who can use SattvAI

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use SattvAI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use SattvAI with a parent or guardian's involvement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. Please give accurate details, keep your password private, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Spiritual and wellness disclaimer

SattvAI is a tool for personal reflection, meditation, and devotional practice. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you are struggling with your mental or physical health, please consult a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline right away. SattvAI is not an emergency service.

5. AI-generated content

Some content in SattvAI — including guidance, daily messages, and replies in Talk to God and Ask the Gita — is generated by an AI model. It is offered for reflection and inspiration only.

AI content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect any particular tradition's authoritative teaching. Scriptural verses shown are drawn from a curated set, but you should verify anything important with trusted sources or a qualified teacher. Do not rely on AI content as fact or as professional advice.

6. Subscriptions and billing

SattvAI offers optional paid memberships (such as SattvAI Plus and SattvAI Max) that unlock additional features. Free features remain available without payment.

• Purchases are processed by the app store you use (Apple App Store or Google Play), or, on the web, by our payment processor, under their terms. We do not receive your full payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel beforehand. Prices and included features may change; we will give notice of material changes where required.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings (or your web account settings). Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

7. Acceptable use

Please use SattvAI respectfully. You agree not to:

• Use the app for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.
• Misuse the AI features to generate harmful, hateful, or illegal content, or to harass others.
• Resell, scrape, or commercially exploit the app or its content without our permission.

8. Your content

Your journal entries, reflections, and messages belong to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the app for you — for example, to store your writing and to send your questions to our AI provider so it can respond. We do not claim ownership of your personal content.

9. Our content

The SattvAI app, its design, artwork, text, and features are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial spiritual practice, but not otherwise copy or redistribute them.

10. Third-party services

SattvAI relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, OpenAI, and Anthropic, and on the app stores (or our payment processor on the web) for billing. Your use of those services through SattvAI is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

11. Disclaimers

SattvAI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI content will be accurate or suited to your needs.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SattvAI and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using SattvAI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the app. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms or change the app as it grows. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use SattvAI after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
