Our Chai Blend balances the sluggish qualities of kapha. Caffeine-free Red Rooibos combines with traditional Chai spices & sweet Lemongrass, to inspire motivation & movement, without taxing the nervous system. This uplifting blend is also antioxidant-rich & supports healthy digestion.

African Red Rooibos

Rooibos tea has a sweet, delicate, earthy flavor & is used as a caffeine-free alternative to green or black tea. It is also low in tannins which means that it does not interfere with the body’s absorption of iron as alternative teas do. Rooibos tea is rich in antioxidants, supportive to heart health, helpful with diabetes management & even promotes potential weight loss.

Cinnamon

In Ayurveda, cinnamon is considered one of the ‘Three Aromatics’ for its ability to rev up digestion, aiding in assimilation & absorption of nutrients. Cinnamon has a warming effect & contains highly potent antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, supports healthy metabolic function & helps maintain a strong immune system, especially when seasonal threats are high. Cinnamon helps increase circulation & it is considered a demulcent in herbalism since it retains moisture in the body; however, it also works as an expectorant, expelling excess mucus & congestion from colds & cases of flu. Ginger

In classical Ayurveda, ginger is also known as vishwabhesaj, which means ‘the universal medicine’. It is considered the most sattvic, or harmonious, of all spices. Ginger aids in proper digestion by helping to reduce nausea & dispel gas. It also increases saliva, bile & gastric enzymes which improve digestion & assimilation of nutrients. It contains anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful in reducing pain in the body. Lastly, ginger contains the antioxidant, gingerol, which helps combat free radical damage. 

Lemongrass

This tall thready plant has an uplifting, fresh, citrusy aroma to help counterbalance the heavy quality of kapha dosha. According to scientific studies, lemongrass has antioxidants, as well as anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory & diuretic properties which keep the body in balance & the cells healthy & free from disease. Research has also shown that lemongrass may help reduce cholesterol, maintain a healthy weight & reduce high systolic blood pressure.
